Transmission Planning Engineer - Electrical - T&D

Our client, a regional transmission & distribution company, is seeking a Transmission Planning Engineer for a role in New Haven, Connecticut.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) from an ABET college.
• 5 years in the Electric Power Industry with emphasis in transmission planning.
• Understanding and ability to work with advanced power systems analysis software, such as the PSS/E program.
• Must have the ability to conduct and evaluate transmission contingency analysis and power flow studies (i.e. steady-state thermal and voltage, and stability studies), as necessary to plan for the orderly long range expansion of the transmission system.
• Ability to participate on NEPOOL and ISO-NE Working Groups and Task Forces to develop coordinated area wide solutions to interconnected system issues.

Compensation:
Compensation is anticipated to be in the range of $70,000 - $95,000 DOE. The client also offers a full range of benefits including generous relocation assistance. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for this career opportunity.
